12/10/2024 Update: "everyone needs to be off the property by Noon on Saturday in preparation for the pressure test."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you've been to the club recently, you've no doubt noticed the work that National Grid is doing. Their system needs to be 'pressure tested' and this necessitates closing the driveway.
As a safety precaution, the club will be closed from Noon Saturday, Dec. 14th until 3:00 PM Sunday, December 15th.
Here's their letter with more details:
December 9, 2024 (UPDATED 12-10-2024)
Dear Neighbor:
This letter is to inform you that National Grid and its contractors will be conducting a high-pressure test of our gas infrastructure off Center Lane in the coming week. Beginning at 12 Noon on Saturday, December 14 until 3 PM Sunday, December 15, a crew member will be on site to perform the test.
For your safety and the safety of others, please stay off the property during this time. The driveway accessing the Albany County Pistol Club and Robert Wright Disposal and Cart-Away Roll Off Service will be closed as well. Signage will be erected in the area notifying the public of the driveway closure and high-pressure test.
This pressure test is in accordance with standards set by National Grid and the New York State Public Service Commission. The purpose of the test is to locate any leaks in our infrastructure.
Please do not hesitate to contact me at (518) 603-1040 if you have any questions or concerns regarding the pressure test. Thank you for your ongoing cooperation and patience as we complete this project. Best wishes for a healthy and happy holiday season.
Sincerely,
Erin Gryniak
