  The required course to obtain your New York State Pistol Permit. 

  This class, presented in cooperation with ArmsWise, LLC, a Federal Firearms License (FFL) holder, is conducted over two days. Each day runs from 8:00AM to 5:00PM. Register for the NYS required course with a professional, experienced team.

  As per NY law concealed carry firearm safety training must include 16 hours of in-person live classroom instruction and 2 hours of live fire. The course is conducted over two days. Each day runs from 8:00AM to 5:00PM.

  • Firearms safety and safe handling practices
  • Firearm and ammunition function and operation
  • Cleaning and maintenance
  • Range safety
  • Holster and accessory considerations
  • Concealed carry considerations
  • Safe storage and transportation requirements
  • State and federal gun laws

  • Conflict de-escalation and management
  • Effects of drugs and alcohol
  • Proper interaction with law enforcement

  Tuition & Fees
  The class is $275. There are no other fees. All equipment for the 'live fire' curriculum is provided and included in your basic tuition of $275.

  Our Next 3T Shoot is Sunday, June 22 at 6 PM We will be shooting 30 rounds, after each 10 rounds we check targets. Fun Targets!

  We are going back to collecting $5 for dinner from participants who want to eat. That money will go toward the food. Soda and water will be provided by the club.

  Someone usually offers to bring a side dish and dessert as a donation.

  I will put together a barbeque or if it is raining will make a main dish.

  Please reserve your spot by June 20th so that I can determine how much food to get.

  EXCITING NEW SHOOTING EVENT AVAILABLE TO MEMBERS

  This will involve drawing drawing your pistol from the holster, engaging targets and movement.  Focus will be on safety, accuracy and time.  This will be a dynamic shooting event.

  Please note:

  This event requires participants take the Introduction to CCW or demonstrate appropriate control during the Intermediate Action Pistol Qualifier being held on April 10th. 

  
  

  Pricing UPDATE:

  Range fee of $5 due to the cost of the targets

  Required materials:

  • Pistol
  • Sturdy belt to support firearm and holster
  • Quality outside the waist band (OWB) holster specifically fitted to the pistol you're shooting 
  • 3 magazines

  Want to be more comfortable around the range?  Interested in volunteering at shooting events but don't have the credentials?  Want to hang out for 8 hours on a Saturday?

  
  

  ACPC is hosting the Range Safety Officer (RSO) class.  This is a NRA sanctioned class that will develop knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to organizing, conducting, and supervising safe shooting activities and range operations.

  Details

  • July 12 from 8AM-5PM with lunch on your own ~12-1PM
  • Cost is $75
  • Class will be taught by Tony LaTorre
  • This is a classroom only event.  No shooting gear is necessary.  Just great attitude!
  • Class is limited to 20 students.  ACPC members get first dibs.

  Registration & Payment (two parts):
  

  • Part 1 - Initial Registration is through Wild Apricot. Registration is limited to members until June 13 after which non-members will be able to register via the NRA site if the class is not full
  • Part 2 - To complete your registration, you will receive an email after June 13^th with a link to the NRA Course Registration site. Final registration here is required so your class completion certificate and RSO credentials can be entered and duly awarded.
  • Payment - Cost is $75 per student, payable in cash or by check on the day of the class.

   

  Do you need to be an NRA member to take the class?

  Strictly speaking, an NRA membership is not required to take the class, but it is highly recommended. Without an NRA membership, issuance of the RSO certificate incurs additional processing time and costs from the NRA. With an NRA Membership ($35/yr), other extra costs are eliminated, your credentials are immediately connected to your membership record,  you can log in and download an “RSO Card” anytime you need to verify them and easily renew them online.
